Redwood Wedding Venues in Humboldt

1. Redwood National Park

Many people are shocked when I tell them that yes, you can have a wedding in Redwood National Park. Granted, it has to be fewer than 20 guests per park rules, but I canโ€™t think of a better way to kick off a list of redwood wedding venues without mentioning the actual national park itself.

Ceremonies take place within designated areas and require a special use permit around $100-$300 depending on the site. That’s it. No additional fees. There isnโ€™t a traditional venue setup here, so you wonโ€™t find tables, chairs, or reception halls waiting for you, but with scenery like this and a low fee like that, it’s pretty hard to beat.

This option is especially appealing to couples planning an intimate ceremony or elopement who donโ€™t need a full reception space onsite. If youโ€™re dreaming of exchanging vows beneath some of the tallest trees on earth and keeping your guest list small and setup simple, it doesnโ€™t get much more iconic than this.

Interested in getting married in the Redwoods? I’ve got a guide on how to plan a Redwood National Park wedding or elopement! I’ve also got a guide to the best redwoods elopement locations in the state if you’re looking for some state parks that allow weddings!

2. Ridgefield Weddings

For couples dreaming of a full weekend wedding tucked deep in the redwoods, Ridgefield Weddings is going to feel like hitting the jackpot. Located in Arcata and set across 80 acres of land, this estate-style venue gives you the space and time to celebrate.

Ridgefield offers flexible 1-day, 3-day, and even 5-day wedding packages, making it one of the more flexible options on this list. There’s onsite lodging for guests, a dedicated redwood grove ceremony space, tables and chairs included, and an in-house team that can help with florals, catering, music, and planning.

This venue is especially appealing to couples who want a redwood wedding without the DIY logistics of a state park or campground. If you’re envisioning a multi-day celebration surrounded by giant redwoods, this redwood wedding venue is hard to beat.

  • Website: https://ridgefieldweddings.co/
  • Pricing: Starting at $8,900
  • Max capacity: 150 people
  • Catering: Have to use their catering and alcohol providers
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

3. Emerald Forest Cabins & RV

For couples looking to plan a summer-camp inspired wedding, Emerald Forest Cabins & RV may just be your dream wedding venue. There are 21 fully furnished cabins that can sleep anywhere from 1-10 people, picnic tables and campfire rings, a meeting hall for small dinners and receptions, and even a mini-mart, all within 12 acres of pure redwoods. It’s also just a 2 minute drive away from the beach.

This venue is especially appealing to outdoorsy couples who want a low-key experience and donโ€™t mind managing rentals, tents, or other logistics. Itโ€™s not typically a full-service wedding venue with included tables and catering, but it shines as an affordable redwood wedding venue for forest ceremonies or as part of a weekend retreat.

  • Website: https://www.emeraldforestcabins.com/
  • Pricing: Unsure, waiting to hear back
  • Max capacity: Unsure, waiting to hear back
  • Catering: BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

4. Redwoods River Resort

You’ll notice a trend that most of the redwoods wedding venues in the Humboldt area tend to be pretty laidback, and Redwoods River Resort is no exception.

Set on the banks of the Eel River and surrounded by redwoods, the venue offers cabins, RV, and tent sites so your guests can make an entire weekend out of it. When you book the property for a wedding, you get exclusive access for your event with space for ceremonies, reception areas, and an arbor, plus an extended curfew and private access to the on-site pub.

Redwoods River Resort wonโ€™t feel like a traditional banquet hall, and it doesnโ€™t include all the bells and whistles of a full-service estate. But for couples who want some gorgeous views of the river or some redwoods, tables and chairs, and some built-in amenities, it’ll check all your boxes.

  • Website: https://redwoodriverresort.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $21,500 for 2 days
  • Max capacity: 150 people
  • Catering: BYO catering, $2,000-$3,000 beverage minimum on site
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

Redwood Wedding Venues in Mendocino

5. Spirit Camp Retreat Center

If I had to choose a favorite redwoods wedding venue on this list, Spirit Camp would probably be it (though let’s be honest, it’s hard to choose just one). This venue truly has it all. Thereโ€™s a gorgeous event space, a large open meadow for ceremonies and receptions, more than 27 acres of redwood hiking trails, onsite lodging, a sun room, and so much more.

Spirit Camp is built for couples who want a full weekend experience. This is not a venue you can just book for a day. There’s a three-night weekend minimum, which gives you time to settle in, host a welcome gathering, and really enjoy the space with your guests. For groups over 60 people, you’re required to use one of their approved catering vendors and secure one of their wedding coordinators.

The overall feel leans much more towards outdoor community gathering than formal banquet hall. If you’re envisioning a wedding that feels like a retreat with your favorite people, rather than a traditional ballroom reception, Spirit Camp absolutely delivers.

  • Website: https://www.spirit.camp/
  • Pricing: Starting at $16,000 for a 3-night weekend rental (catering separate)
  • Max capacity: 50 overnight guests, 150 day guests
  • Catering: Have to use their catering and alcohol providers
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

6. The Brambles Hideaway

The Brambles is a redwoods wedding venue that you basically have to book around two years in advance, as they only take on just 5 weddings a year between their two properties. However, if you’re one of the lucky ones to get a date, you’ll be sure to be impressed.

One of the biggest perks of The Brambles is the two-day exclusive use of the property. Your rental includes six hours for your ceremony and reception, plus your choice of Madrones English Gardens or Oak Terrace Courtyard for a five-hour rehearsal event, and access to the venue again for a farewell brunch. They have a gorgeous redwoods cathedral for ceremonies.

The property also includes tables and chairs, patio heaters, a full catering kitchen, and more. Couples also receive special wine rates from on-site vintners Long Meadow Ranch or Wentworth Vineyards, along with access to select vintage props for staging and dรฉcor.

  • Website: https://www.thebrambleshideaway.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $7,500 for microweddings (40 guests or less) or $18,000 for weddings up to 150 for 2 days
  • Max capacity: 150 people
  • Catering: Microweddings have to use their catering providers, regular weddings can BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

7. Oz Farm & Retreat Center

Oz Farm & Retreat Center is a fun venue with nearly every landscape available from redwood groves and rivers to gardens and mountains.

Oz Farm offers two ceremony locations to choose from. You can exchange vows in the redwood grove (my favorite) or up on Tai Chi Hill overlooking the surrounding landscape. Renting the venue includes access to the Barn, Community House, Bath House, and all onsite cabin accommodations. Guests can enjoy the wood-fired hot tub, pizza oven, and firepit, along with swimming in the Garcia River, hiking trails, orchards, and gardens.

When it comes to vendors, Oz Farm requires you to use one of their in-hour coordinators which is an additional $3,000. You are also required to tour the property before booking.

This is a great wedding venue for weekend celebrations in a place that feels off-the-grid with the views to prove it.

  • Website: https://www.ozfarm.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $21,865 for an entire weekend (Thursday to Sunday). This includes the coordinator cost.
  • Max capacity: 150 people
  • Catering: BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Unsure

Redwood Wedding Venues in the San Francisco Bay Area

8. Berkley Botanical Garden

Berkeley Botanical Garden is easily one of the most affordable redwood wedding venues on this list and tends to be a favorite for couples. The ceremony location alone makes it worth considering. Couples exchange vows in a towering redwood grove that can seat up to 200 guests, after which you can take portraits in the nearby gardens.

After your ceremony, you can head over to nearby Julia Morgan Hall for a reception. While the reception space is smaller, it allows you to keep everything in one general area without having to fully relocate your guests across town. It’s super cute and cozy!

This venue is ideal for couples who want a true redwood ceremony without the higher price tags of private estates, and who are comfortable with a structured rental timeline, vendor requirements, and a venue without all the bells and whistles.

  • Website: https://botanicalgarden.berkeley.edu/
  • Pricing: Starting at $2,000 for ceremony only (up to 25 guests), $3,500 for ceremony only (up to 200 guests), or $8,500 for a ceremony and reception (200 guests for ceremony, 82 for reception).
  • Max capacity: 200 people in the ceremony space, 82 in the reception hall
  • Catering: Have to use their catering provider BYO alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

9. Saratoga Springs

Saratoga Springs makes planning a wedding easy. With three different ceremony sites to choose from and a variety of landscapes for photos including bridges, creeks, and redwoods, this venue gives couples a lot of flexibility in how their day looks and feels. Whether you want something tucked into the trees or set along the water, there are multiple backdrops to work with.

Because everything is located on one property, guests can move easily from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. The grounds are spacious, and with a maximum capacity of 500 guests, this venue works well for larger celebrations that still want something set in nature.

  • Website: https://www.saratoga-springs.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $3,950 (doesn’t include the required dinner or beverage package)
  • Max capacity: 500 people
  • Catering: BYO catering or use their in-house option
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

10. Muir Woods

Yes, you can get married in Muir Woods. And yes, itโ€™s as magical as it looks. You can see an actual Muir Woods wedding I photographed and read a mini guide on how to get married in Muir Woods here to get an idea of what it looks like.

Muir Woods can accommodate up to 30 people in two of their ceremony sites and up to 10 in the other.

That said, this isnโ€™t a traditional wedding venue. Youโ€™ll need a special use permit, guest counts are limited, and you canโ€™t bring in a full reception setup. No big dinner tables, no dance floor, no late-night party. This is really for small ceremonies or elopements. Most couples plan to celebrate somewhere else afterward in Mill Valley or back in the city.

If you want to stand under some of the most iconic redwoods in the Bay Area and want something simple, Muir Woods is an obvious choice.

11. Deer Park Villa

Deer Park Villa is one of those venues that people tour and immediately go, โ€œOhhh okay, this is it.โ€

The ceremony space is surrounded by redwoods, as well as the reception area. Not a fan of outdoor receptions? They also have an indoor venue as well. The area can accommodate up to 300 guests which is impressive for a redwoods wedding venue. I really appreciate this venue for its flexibility. Unlike most estate-style venues, you can bring in your own vendors, decor, and more to make it as personalized as possible.

This venue is great for couples who want a forest wedding but donโ€™t want it to feel overly DIY. You get the redwoods while still being close enough to the Bay that guests wonโ€™t complain about the drive.

  • Website: https://www.deerparkvilla.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $8,500
  • Max capacity: 300 people
  • Catering: BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

12. The Mountain Terrace

Remember when I said itโ€™s hard to pick a favorite redwoods wedding venue? Itโ€™s because of places like The Mountain Terrace. Itโ€™s just so good.

This wedding venue is located up in the hills and is surrounded by trees, but you also get open mountain views. Itโ€™s not deep, remote redwoods like Humboldt, but you still get that tucked-into-nature feeling without asking your guests to trek into the middle of nowhere.

Everything flows really nice here. Ceremony outside, portraits in the trees, reception right there on site. No complicated logistics, no major travel between locations. Itโ€™s one of those venues that makes planning feel a lot less overwhelming. It’s also a lot more affordable than others on the list, which is always a nice plus.

If you want something that feels outdoorsy but still polished, The Mountain Terrace is a really solid choice.

  • Website: https://www.themountainterrace.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $2,500
  • Max capacity: 400 people for ceremony, 300 for reception
  • Catering: Have to use their catering and alcohol vendors
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

13. Ralston White Retreat

Ralston White Retreat is located in Mill Valley near Muir Woods on 43 acres of private gardens and redwoods.

You can choose to celebrate for the day or rent out the entire space for you and 35 of your guests to stay in overnight. There’s a beautiful heart-shaped lawn for ceremonies, a redwood grove for portraits, and a cozy living room for indoor celebrations. This venue tends to be a bit more DIY-based and has lots of flexibility when it comes to vendors.

Something guests always comment on is how secluded the venue feels without being too far from town. This is a place where it feels like you’re escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, when in reality, you’re just a short drive away.

  • Website: https://ralstonwhiteretreat.org/
  • Pricing: Starting at $5,700
  • Max capacity: 125 people
  • Catering: BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Not sure

14. Piedmont Community Hall

Piedmont Community Hall is in a quiet neighborhood in Piedmont, surrounded by trees and nice homes, so it feels tucked away, but youโ€™re still super close to Oakland and the rest of the Bay.

You can do your ceremony outside on the lawn, then head inside for the reception. The hall itself is Mediterranean inspired. It’s pretty simple, which I actually think is a good thing. It doesnโ€™t force you into a specific style. You can dress it up with florals and candles or keep it clean and minimal. It really depends on what youโ€™re into.

Thereโ€™s a nice flow between the outdoor space and the main hall, so guests aren’t stuck in one spot all night. People can step outside, hang out on the lawn, and then come back in for dinner and dancing.

If you want something thatโ€™s intimate, flexible, and not over the top, Piedmont Community Hall is a solid choice. It gives you a good foundation to let you make it your own.

Redwood Wedding Venues in Santa Cruz

15. Nestldown

Nestldown in the Santa Cruz Mountains is hands-down one of my favorite redwoods venues on this list. I mean just look at that ceremony site!

You can have your ceremony out in the redwood grove or on the lawns, then move around the grounds for cocktail hour and photos. Thereโ€™s a barn space for reception-style dinner and dancing, but thereโ€™s also plenty of outdoor space if you prefer that. A good chunk of that 36-acre property is included with the rental, and the venue provides chairs, tables, and a team to help with the day-of setup.

The pricing can vary a lot based on season and day of week ($8,000-$36,000). It’s definitely one of the more pricey venues on this list, but if you have the budget for it, it’s definitely worth checking out.

  • Website: https://www.nestldown.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $8,000
  • Max capacity: 200 people
  • Catering: Have to use their catering and alcohol vendors
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

16. Kennolyn

Redwood wedding venues in the Santa Cruz area feel very summer-camp coded and Kennolyn is no exception. And maybe that’s because it’s an actual summer camp!

This venue is located on 450 acres of land and offers both one-day and weekend wedding packages. Couples have their choice of an arbor, a professional wedding coordinator, getting ready spaces, and more. Turn your celebration into a full weekend event and find yourself spending time around the firepits, miles of hiking trails, basketball courts, swimming pols, and more. It’s safe to say you and your guests won’t ever bored.

If you’re the kind of couple looking to really lean into the summer camp theme, or simply want a venue with lots included in a gorgeous setting, I think you’ll love Kennolyn.

  • Website: https://www.nestldown.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $17,500
  • Max capacity: 300 people
  • Catering: Have to use their catering and beverage providers
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

17. Roaring Camp Weddings

Roaring Camp Weddings is easily one of the most popular redwood wedding venues on this list because it’s truly one of the most unique ones you’ll find.

There are a few ways you can do your ceremony. One is out in a big meadow or lawn next to an old schoolhouse-style building. Another option that a lot of people talk about is taking a historic steam train ride through the redwoods with your guests up to a grove of giant trees for the ceremony.

The reception space, Bret Harte Hall, is a big barn-style hall with room for dancing, dinner, and guests. Itโ€™s not super fancy, but itโ€™s solid and gives you space to work with your own look. Thereโ€™s also lawn space for mingling and games if you want to spread the party outside.

The capacity is pretty flexible, from smaller gatherings up into the hundreds depending on which sites you use. With that comes a huge range of pricing.

If you want a redwood wedding that feels a bit like a day in the woods with a quirky twist (hello, steam train), Roaring Camp is worth a look.

  • Website: https://roaringcamp.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $4,500
  • Max capacity: 275 people
  • Catering: BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

18. YMCA Camp Campbell

YMCA Camp Campbell has some of the pretties spots on this list for a ceremony and portraits. Itโ€™s located in the Santa Cruz Mountains near the water and woods, so you get summer camp themes without it feeling like youโ€™re actually roughing it.

The main ceremony is of course in a cathedral of redwoods. After that you can move into whatever reception setup youโ€™ve got planned, whether thatโ€™s under strings of lights, in a clearing, or on a lawn. The whole place doesnโ€™t try to be fancy. It is a summer camp after all, which you can also take advantage of by having your guests stay overnight.

If youโ€™re into a wedding thatโ€™s in the woods with river views and lawn games, YMCA Camp Campbell is a good one to check out.

  • Website: https://www.ymcasv.org/camp-campbell
  • Pricing: Starting at $5,000
  • Max capacity: 200 people
  • Catering: Have to use their catering and alcohol providers
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

19. Waterfall Lodge and Retreat

Don’t let the name fool you. There isn’t an actual waterfall on the property, but there are some pretty gorgeous looking ceremony spaces here, my personal favorite being the cathedral of redwoods (duh).

Waterfall Lodge and Retreat does offer one-day weddings. However, most of their couples book out the entire retreat. The venue requires a 2-night minimum with a minimum of 9 cabins booked for multi-day weddings. Over their 32 cabins and lodge, they can accommodate up to 86 overnight guests.

The venue is flexible and lets you bring your own vendors, including catering. With over 80 acres of property to explore, you and your guests will never experience a moment of boredom. Dance on top the mountaintop meadow, hike through the forest, or share s’mores over the fire. Whatever you’re envisioning, Waterfall Lodge and Retreat is a place that can make it possible.

20. Amphitheater of the Redwoods

The Amphitheater of the Redwoods at Pema Osel Ling Retreat Center is absolutely stunning, and one of the more affordable wedding venues on this list.

The ceremony space is outdoors in a circle of redwoods. After that, you can stay in the grove or move to nearby lawns or clearings for cocktail hour and photos.

The space doesnโ€™t come with a ton of built-in bells and whistles, which honestly makes it easy to bring your own style. If your thing is tall trees, a simple outdoor ceremony, and a place that feels pretty without trying too hard, Amphitheater of the Redwoods is a really nice choice.

21. Sparrow Valley Retreat

Okay, hereโ€™s the thing about Sparrow Valley Retreat.

It doesnโ€™t feel like a โ€œvenue.โ€ It feels like someoneโ€™s really pretty property in the Santa Cruz Mountains that just happens to be perfect for a wedding.

You pull in and itโ€™s hills, open meadow, gardens, trees. No grand entrance moment. No dramatic architecture. And honestly, thatโ€™s kind of the appeal.

This is for the couple who doesnโ€™t want ballrooms but doesnโ€™t want full redwood summer camp either. The redwood cathedral here is to-die-for and the reception spaces are just as beautiful. If you want something that feels outdoorsy without going full forest camp mode, Sparrow Valley is a really solid option.

  • Website: https://sparrowvalleyretreat.com/
  • Pricing: Unsure, I believe starts at $9,500
  • Max capacity: 120 people
  • Catering: BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

22. Felton Guild

Like most of the redwood wedding venues on this list, Felton Guild has a great ceremony and reception space that can accommodate a good number of guests.

This place doesnโ€™t pretend to be fancy. It’s a super casual venue that serves BBQ for dinner. This is a fantastic option for couples who are looking for something that’s super laidback and easy. There isn’t much to the space aside from the ceremony and reception area, but the venue itself does provide a good amount of amenities like a bridal suite, gift tables, a gazebo, etc.

If you want something that feels local, low-pressure, and flexible, Felton Guild is a good call.

  • Website: https://www.feltonguildweddings.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $7,500
  • Max capacity: 150 people
  • Catering: In-house catering and alcohol strongly recommended but you can BYO if requested
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

23. Sequoia Retreat Center

Sequoia Retreat Center is one of those wedding venues where you go โ€œoh, this is what people mean when they say a redwood wedding.โ€

There are a few really nice spaces you can use. Peace Park is this open grassy ceremony spot surrounded by tall redwoods. Pixieโ€™s Garden has bistro lights and a patio for dinner, and Las Alas Lodge gives you an indoor option for dancing or cocktail hour if the weather gets weird.

One thing that sets this place apart from a lot of redwood venues is how whole-day it feels. You can stay on site most of the day, walk around the property, and even have people stay in cabins.

Itโ€™s not slick or overly styled. Folks who book here usually care a lot about the setting itself, and guests tend to talk about how special it feels.

24. Fern River Resort

Fern River Resort is a hidden gem! This is a spot that feels like you found a lovely backyard location, but way bigger and prettier than your actual backyard. And yes, the starting price of $500 is legit, though I won’t lie, most weddings at the venue tend to cost between $4,000-$6,500. Still, a steal for a wedding venue!

Itโ€™s tucked into the redwoods along the San Lorenzo River near Felton. Like other venues, this one screams summer camp, as you can actually rent the 15 cabins onsite for the weekend for you and your guests. After your ceremony in the trees, enjoy your reception on the lawn before taking advantage of the private river beach, community campfire ring, ping pong table, badminton court, and more.

If you want a wedding that feels like hanging out instead of just sitting in rows all night, Fern River Resort definitely is worth a look.

  • Website: https://www.fernriverresort.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $500
  • Max capacity: 200 people
  • Catering: In-house catering and alcohol strongly recommended but you can BYO if requested
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

Redwood Wedding Venues in Big Sur

25. Glenn Oaks Big Sur

Glenn Oaks Big Sur is a fantastic choice for couples with smaller guest counts. The two main spaces for ceremonies, The Fairly Circle and The Redwood Grove, can accommodate 20 and 100 guests respectively.

Like other venues on this list, you can choose to host your celebration for the day or you can rent out the cabins for you and your guests.

After your ceremony, you can move to the back patio and indoor restaurant for your reception or dinner. The landscaping is beautiful and the indoor space is very quaint. Overall, this is a venue that screams cozy. Whether you’re eloping just the two of you or are bringing along 100 guests, I think you’ll really love Glenn Oaks Big Sur.

  • Website: https://www.glenoaksbigsur.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $3,000
  • Max capacity: 100 people
  • Catering: BYO catering, alcohol provided by venue
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

26. Henry Miller Library

The Henry Miller Library is one of my personal favorite redwood wedding venues on this list.

Not only does your money go towards helping the historic library, but it also gives you access to some of the best redwoods in the Big Sur area. Don’t expect much with this venue, as it is a library after all. You won’t find tables and chairs, decorations, or lodging. This venue leans heavily on having couples do most of the work.

This is a great venue for a couple who is crafty and looking to DIY a bulk of their wedding, go-with-the-flow, and looking for an affordable wedding venue in Big Sur.

  • Website: https://www.henrymiller.org/
  • Pricing: Starting at $2,000
  • Max capacity: 150 people
  • Catering: BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: No

27. Santa Lucia Preserve

Prepare to be blown away by the Santa Lucia Preserve.

I have to warn you: this venue costs a pretty penny, and it’s currently only available to members or sponsored guests. You also must have a wedding planner for this venue. However, if you have the budget for it, I think it’s a venue that gets an easy yes.

Located in the mountains of Carmel-by-the-Sea, this wedding venue has everything from redwood groves and panoramic views of the Santa Lucia Mountains to a farm-to-table kitchen and even horses on the property. For couples who really want to wow their guests, this is the place to do so.

  • Website: https://www.santaluciapreserve.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $60,000
  • Max capacity: 350 people
  • Catering: Must use in-house catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

28. Ventana Big Sur

For all the couples out there with a big budget, Ventana Big Sur may just be the venue you’re looking for.

This upscale wedding venue has some amazing ceremony sites from some lawns overlooking the ocean, a warm loft, and a redwood cathedral. The attention to detail here is next level, but you’ll pay a pretty penny for it, with most weddings costing close to $70,000 here for the venue, food, and lodging requirement. You can even buy out the entire lodge for you and your guests for close to $300,000.

This is a fantastic venue for couples looking for a luxury experience with every single detail meticulously designed. After all, Ventana Big Sur is a 5-star hotel, so you should expect nothing less.

  • Website: https://www.ventanabigsur.com/
  • Pricing: Starting at $37,500 ($3,750 for up to 12 guests).
  • Max capacity: 100 people
  • Catering: Must use in-house catering and beverage
  • Chairs and tables included: No

29. Big Sur Lodge

Big Sur Lodge is such a great redwoods wedding venue in Big Sur. It’s close to town and has a great on-site reception area for dinner afterwards.

This wedding venue is definitely geared towards smaller weddings, as the main redwoods ceremony space can only accommodate 60 people. I’ve loved all the weddings I’ve photographed here, but I will say that it’s not the most private venue on this list. You won’t be able to tell in the photos, but to the left of the ceremony site, there’s a popular walking trail people use, so you may have some random onlookers during your ceremony.

Regardless, it’s still a beautiful and affordable wedding venue on this list that’s worthy of checking out.

  • Pricing: Unsure, I believe starts at around $3,000
  • Max capacity: 80 people
  • Catering: Must use in-house catering and beverage
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes

30. Big Sur Grange

Last on my main list of redwood wedding venues we have Big Sur Grange.

This venue is a volunteer-run center for the locals. There’s lots of room for ceremony amongst the trees here. It looks very similar to Glenn Oaks Big Sur because it’s directly across the street. It tends to be a much more affordable option, as the couple is responsible for providing practically everything for the wedding. There are tables and chairs, but they’re on the older side.

The inside of the space is very simple and a little outdated, but if you need an affordable venue in Big Sur with redwoods without all the bells and whistles, this might be the one for you!

  • Website: https://bigsurgrange.org/
  • Pricing: Unsure, I believe starts at around $1,000
  • Max capacity: 100 people
  • Catering: BYO catering and alcohol
  • Chairs and tables included: Yes, but recommend bringing your own

Other Notable Redwood Wedding Venues

In addition to private venues, many redwood state parks also have some breathtaking ceremony sites. While these “venues” typically accommodate smaller guest counts and require special use permits, theyโ€™re a great fit for simpler celebrations.
