I have to admit that I like to gate keep Brookings. I know, I know, it’s definitely not a good thing to admit, but when you’ve photographed weddings and elopements all over the United States, places as special and beautiful as Brookings deserve to be kept a little bit of a secret.
If you were to ask me, I think it’s the best place in Oregon to get married. So much so that I added it to my list of the best places to elope in Oregon. But that aside, it’s safe to say that Brookings is a beautiful choice for your wedding.
Whether you’re planning a small, intimate wedding or a 100+ guest affair, these are the best wedding venues in Brookings to do so. The list is small, but the views are large.
Wedding Venues in Brookings, Oregon
1. Capella by the Sea
Capella by the Sea is Brookings most popular wedding venue. Located in Azalea Park, this popular ceremony location doubles as an excellent portrait spot too. There aren’t many places in the United States with this kind of architecture, but compared to the others, Capella by the Sea is a unique one that really stands out. It’s super close to downtown, has incredible views of the nearby port, the Chetco River, and even the Pacific Ocean.
This wedding venue isn’t for large guest counts, as the entire building can only accommodate 49 people. Personally, I would bring less than that, as it can feel quite crowded and cramped with that amount of guests.

2. Crook Point
Crook Point is definitely the best coastal wedding venue in Brookings, Oregon. No question about it.
Crook Point is located on over two miles of private coastline. Not only that, but they have 6, yes 6, different sites to choose from for your ceremony. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, there are also 8 different homes on the property that you and your guests can rent out for the weekend.
One of the best things about Crook Point is that they also have a variety of different packages to choose from. Having a small wedding? Only need the ceremony space for 2 hours? Prefer a larger, upscale production? Crook Point truly has something for everyone.

3. Umbrella Farms
Umbrella Farms is the biggest hidden gem on this list.
If I had to describe this venue in one word, it would be charming. This small, local farm that serves as a community gathering space for locals has a gorgeous outdoor space with views for days. They also have an indoor space that’s just as beautiful with tons of natural light and room for a reception.
There aren’t many decorations, and to be honest, you won’t really need them with all the flowers they have in shop, but this is a great wedding venue in Brookings if you’re looking for something a little more low-key that you can dress up.

- Max capacity: 150 people
4. Salmon Run Golf Course
If the idea of getting married on a golf course makes you cringe a little bit, I can assure you that a ceremony on Salmon Run Golf Course will change your mind.
Located at the base of rolling hills and surrounding evergreens, this multiple acreage area has no shortage of ceremony spaces to choose from. Trust me, unless you’re actually holding a golf club or standing next to the flag, you would have never guessed it was a golf course.
In addition to its outdoor spaces, Salmon Run also has a beautiful indoor space as well with neutral colors that allow you to dress it up or down. It also has a patio space that’s perfect for cocktail hour.

- Max capacity: 250 people
5. Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor
I’m cheating a bit by putting this location on this list since it’s technically a 12-mile stretch of coastline, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to showcase some incredible beaches. After all, you must like the coast to be getting married in Brookings.
Some of my favorites include Lone Ranch Beach and Harris Beach which have very wide and long coastlines that accommodate large groups. While you will have to bring in your own seating, beaches in area make for incredible (and super affordable) ceremony spots!
You will need to obtain a permit from the necessary state park or forest service land, but with views like this, I don’t think you could complain!
